Sign up for Harrison’s free newsletter, The Usonian, a newsletter about storytelling and design, at harrisonblackman.substack.com.
“Usonia” was a word coined in 1903 by a writer named James Duff Law as an alternative name for the United States of America. The Usonian considers compelling issues about storytelling and design to help inform striving for a better world.
Newsletters come out on a bimonthly basis on Thursdays at noon ET—‘bimonthly’ in the most ambiguous sense. If you subscribe, each new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox.
Also be sure to check out The Cyprus Files, a limited newsletter series that exists as a subset of The Usonian’s main mission—a series of dispatches from Harrison’s Fulbright year on the island of Aphrodite.
You can also find all the back issues of the newsletter on the site’s archive. Thanks for reading!
